The President’s Gala at Shawnee State is an annual event that brings together the community, SSU Leadership, alumni, faculty and friends of the university in support of our student and the education they receive. Special pricing for Fall & Spring Bear Run

The Shawnee State Bear Run is a bi-annual event, which is held each Fall in September and Spring in April on the campus of Shawnee State University.  Alumni receive special pricing for each race. For more information and to register, visit shawnee.edu/bear-run.

Clark Memorial Library at Shawnee State University

The Clark Memorial Library at Shawnee State University extends visiting borrower privileges to all alumni. Visiting borrowers are able to check out up to five items from the library's collection, as well as five items through OhioLink. Alumni also have access to the library's community access computer station.

Shawnee State’s Recreation Center

As an alumnus of Shawnee State, you can get a discounted membership at Shawnee State Recreation Center, located in the James A. Rhodes Athletic Center.  For a yearly membership (12 months), alumni pay $150 or $50 for four months.

Scholarships

The Shawnee State Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship, helps children and grandchildren of Shawnee State alumni continue the tradition of attending Shawnee State University.

Students who are eligible must have a parent or grandparent that graduated from Shawnee State University and the student must have earned a high school grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

This scholarship is applied toward tuition only and cannot be combined with other tuition only scholarships. The Legacy Scholarship may not be combined with certain merit based or athletics scholarships.
