Plastics Engineering Technology receives ABET Accreditation
SSU Plastics is now 1 of 4 programs in the world that has achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology. It is also the only program of its kind in the state of Ohio.
Free Tuition Program expands
SSU has expanded itsFree Tuition Initaitiveto include four new counties in the state of Ohio. The program is now available to qualifying students in Scioto, Lawrence, Adams, Pike, Jackson, Ross, Brown, Gallia, Highland, and Vinton counties in Ohio, or Greenup, Boyd, or Lewis counties in Kentucky.

SSU has announced the transition of the Department of Nursing to theSchool of Nursing. The School of Nursing will serve as a vital part of the university’s plan for growth of its nursing degrees and a focus on meeting the healthcare-related workforce needs of the region.

First Gen graduate reflects on SSU experience
Graduating from as a first-generation college student, Madison Siders (Hometown: Winchester, Ohio) wanted to make her own path. Receiving a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Pre-Art Therapy, and minors in Deaf Studies and Studio Arts, Siders is currently working on her master’s degree in Counseling.
