Shawnee State University's Homecoming Weekend: Alumni, Family + Community Celebration will take place on October 1 & 2, 2021. Events will be held in-person and virtually in the week leading up to the weekend celebration. Join the Alumni Association and the university as we celebrate the induction of the Hall of Fame Class of 2021, the presentation of the 2020 and 2021 Alumni Awards, Dental Hygiene Alumni Continuing Education Day, second annual Sports Leadership Summit, and much more!

Alumnus built his own college experience
John Ross Campbell ('08) pursued a career in higher education thanks to the mentorship he received in his undergraduate education. He serves as an Associate Director in the Office of Housing & Residential Services in his current role.

Waller Gymnasium gets a new look - designed by a SSU alumna!
James A. Rhodes Athletic Center just unveiled a new look in its Waller Gymnasium - a newly designed court! The court was designed by alumna Anna Trankina ('18), Media Content Creator for Shawnee State University.

Alumnus finds his career in Library Science
Zachary Lewis graduated from Shawnee State in 2014 with a Marketing Degree. During his time at the university, he worked as a student employee at the Clark Memorial Library which eventually led him to pursue a career in Library Science. Now as a Student Success Librarian he works to serve underrepresented and underserved student communities.

Commemorative Brick Order Deadline - June 30
The SSU Development Foundation will be ordering new commemorative bricks for Founder's Plaza in the coming weeks. All bricks ordered by June 30 will be placed on campus by the beginning of the Autumn 2021 semester.

Alumnus wins Top Honors for Best Game Recap in NAIA
Kevin Colley ('15) recently received national top honors in the NAIA-SIDA Publications and Media Contest for his Men's Basketball National Championship game recap. He was awarded top honors in the NAIA's Dr. Jack Bell Writing Contest.
