Homecoming 2024 dates announced

Shawnee State University and the SSU Alumni Association have announced the dates for this year’s Homecoming Weekend: Alumni, Family & Community Celebration. SSU Homecoming Weekend will take place Sept. 27 & 28, 2024 with events held throughout the week leading up to the weekend celebration. SSU’s Homecoming is open to all of campus, university alumni, student family members, and community members to attend.

SSU’s Homecoming Weekend will host the annual Homecoming Parade, Tailgate, and Royalty Coronation, along with volleyball games played by the SSU Bears. The Dental Hygiene program will host a Continuing Education Day and the SSU Alumni Association will present this year’s Alumni Awards during and Alumni Awards Brunch on Friday, September 27. The Alumni Association will host an Alumni Social Mixer at Port City Pub later that same evening.

As additional Homecoming details are released leading up to the weekend, alumni planning to attend are invited to register to receive a Homecoming package that will include special discounts to be used throughout the weekend and the chance to win SSU gear and prizes.
